AMable provides support to SMEs and mid-caps for their individual uptake of additive manufacturing. Across all technologies from plastics through polymers to metals, AMable offers services through the competence centres (CC) that target challenges for newcomers, enthusiasts and experts alike.
AMable actually is a group of people from different organisations that aim to create a new eco-system for the uptake of additive manufacturing. Those people provide a wide based of expertise from technology, business and training. The European Commission supports this consortium under the framework of I4MS with funding from the H2020 framework program and with guidance towards an open platform for European companies.
The prime target group are small and medium sized companies (SMEs) that need support in the uptake of additive manufacturing. AMable aims to empower people in those companies to enhance their skills rather than doing the job for the people. The eco-system however will develop a wide spread offering from scientific support through skills and education to commercial service offers.
But how does this happen? How can AMable help?
The key is that AMable support SMEs individually regarding Additive Manufacturing, so if a company have a specific problem in their AM process chain or even if they lack experience or knowledge in some specific AM area, they can request assistance from AMable.
We help SMEs by providing a wide range of different AM services and also by complementing the existing skills inside the company with training and tutoring. So AMable aims to empower people in those companies to enhance their skills rather than doing the entire job for the people. So, basically, we offer scientific, skills and educational support.
The main objective is to provide assistance and to remove some barriers that the SMEs might have, by delivering services that are rare but essential to the Industry development.
